SSRS is used in Znode for reporting purposes. Please find the below settings to Configure SSRS:

Configure SSRS

Start Menu → Programs → Microsoft SQL Server (2008/2014/2016...) Configuration Tools → Reporting Services Configuration Manager

In order to install the initial setup/configuration of SSRS or to modify the configuration of an existing installation, you need to start the “Reporting Services Configuration Manager”. The Configuration Manager can largely be treated as a wizard as you move down the tabs on the left side of the window.

  1. Set the Service Account. For local install we can rely on local account but it is strongly recommended to use Domain user account on the production server.

  2. Once you’ve made you selection and entered logon details click the Apply button.

  4. Move to the Web Service URL and either accept the default or change the Virtual Directory and Web Service Site identification details.

  6. After you’ve clicked Apply, the Results section will confirm the Virtual Directory has been created and the URL reserved. If any issue occur please resolve them before proceeding further.

  7. Click the Database Tab. Select existing database or create a new database for SSRS.

Create New Database for SSRS

  1. Click the Change Database to open the Report Server Database Configuration Wizard. Then, click the "Next" button.

  3. Enter the Server Name and connection details for the SQL server which will hold the SSRS database. Then, and Click "Next".

  5. Enter the Database and Temp Database Names. Pick your language and pick whether SSRS should be in "Native" or "SharePoint Integration Mode".
    • For local install we will choose "Native Mode".

  6. Enter the logon credentials. Again, choose Service Credentials. It is recommended a Domain User account is used for a production environment.

  8. Click "Next". You’ll be presented with a summary of your selections to review.
    • Click "Previous" to make any changes. Click "Next" to proceed further.

  9. The Wizard will verify the configuration with a confirmation. Click "Next".

  11. The Database tab of the Main Reporting Services Configuration Manager window will be updated with the database details. Review them and click "Apply".

  13. Move to the Report Manager URL tab and enter the Virtual Directory you want to use.

  15. After clicking "Apply", similarly to the Web Service URL tab, you’ll be presented with confirmation that the virtual directory has been created and the URL reserved.
    • To enable apply button make some changes in URL name
  16. (Optional) Click "Email Settings" and configure the SMTP settings if you want to use the Report Server email and click "Apply".

  18. On the "Execution Account" tab, enter the details for accessing remote servers that store external images. Make sure you use a domain user account with minimal read-only permission and click "Apply".

  20. Enter a password which will be used to lock and unlock the "Encryption Keys" file. Make sure you pick a password that you will remember.

  22. Test your SSRS configuration by open URL in internet explorer. You can configure this url in “WebConfig” file with user name and password.

  23. (Optional) Scale out the Deployment.

  25. Test your SSRS configuration by open URL in Internet Explorer. You can configure this URL in “WebConfig” file with the username and password.

  27. The browser will display the following script if the configuration is working correctly. *fingers crossed*

  29. If you facing following screen on your Local machine you can use IP Address instead of machine name with user Administrator (user name).

  31. Check that all rights are assigned to the created folder. If not, click on the folder settings, navigate to "Security", and add the appropriate rights to the user. First, click on "Site Settings", as seen below in the top-right corner, then the "Security" tab.

  33. After resolving all issues, you can continue report deployment by creating folders. Click on the "Edit" option to assign all roles. To Create a Folder, click on “New Folder”.
