PIM > Products
The Products is a central location, in Znode, for Administrators to create and manage the Products that appear in your Stores.
Admin users can view and filter the added products from the PIM >> Products page.
Important - Admin users can use the Catalog filter shortcut to filer the products using the catalog where they are associated. Note that the information fetched after the filer shortcut is applied comes from SQL.
Products are created by Admins, using a Product Types, Product Details, and must feature a unique SKU. Products can be configured with advanced, Product-specific preferences after their initial creation using the "Edit" action.

|Simple||Simple products get associated to a single SKU. Simple products can be used to build Grouped, Bundled, Configurable or Add-On products.|
|Grouped||Grouped products are several SKU's that have been associated together. Customers can choose to purchase one, more than one, or all of the SKU's associated together. Think of a Grouped product as the SKU multiselect list.|
|Bundled||Bundled Products work similar to Grouped, except the associated products can only be purchased as a bundle.|
|Configurable||A configurable product is a single product with multiple variations. Each variation is a unique simple product. Inventory is tracked by the SKU of the simple product for each variation.|

Admin user can create new products from this sections.
|Attribute Family||Admin user can Choose a Product Attribute family. The Product Attribute family specifies which information to capture about the product.|
|Product Type||Admin user can select type of product 4 needs to be created. Product types: Simple, Grouped, Bundle, and Configurable.|
|Product Name||Admin user can select product name.|
|Is Obsolete||Any product which is discontinued or no longer used is called an obsolete product. When this set as yes the product will get marked as an obselete product and admin user can associate other similar product as Replacement|
|SKU||Admin user can create a unique SKU.|
|Enabled||Enable or disable the product. Only enabled products are displayed on webstore.|
|Is Downloadable||Flag to identify whether it is downloadable product or not.|
|Long Description||Enter a detailed description for the product in this Rich Text Box that appears to customer.|
|Short Description||Enter an optional short description for the product. This will be displayed in the product listing grid. The description should be less than 100 characters.|
|Product Code||Admin user can enter internal product code for this item. This product code identifies a product across all locales. Note - SKU and|
|Product Specifications||Admin user can add the specifications of the product which need to be displayed on the webstore.|
|Feature Description||Admin user can add the feature description of the product in this section.|
|Assortment||Admin user can select which catalog(s) product should be assigned to.|
|Brand||Admin user can select the brand for this product.|
|Vendor||Admin user can vendors are added via the "Vendors" section of PIM.|
|Highlights||Admin user can enter information to highlight about product. For Example: "Certified Organic", "BIO Certified" and etc.|
|Tags||To associate a tag(s) to this product to assist in customer search.|
|Product Image||Browse Media Explorer for a single primary image for your product as seen by the customer.|
|Gallery Image||Browse Media Explorer for additional images customers can see when viewing a product.|
|Unit of Measure (UOM)||Select unit of measurement for product.|
|Minimum Quantity||Enter minimum quantity customer can purchase|
|Maximum Quantity||Enter maximum quantity customer can purchase|
|Out-of-Stock Options||Select how an out of stock product affects the shopping cart from the three options listed in drop-down.|
|Free shipping|| Selecting this field as yes will enable free shipping for this particular products.
Note - All other shipping rules will be ignored.
|Shipping Cost||Select the type of shipping cost needs to be applied for this product|
|Weight||Enter the weight of the product in pounds. This is used to compute shipping cost. Leave blank if not applicable.|
|Height||Enter the height of the product in inches. This is used to compute shipping cost. Leave blank if not applicable.|
|Width||Enter the width of the product in inches. This is used to compute shipping cost. Leave blank if not applicable.|
|Length||Enter the length of the product in inches. This is used to compute shipping cost. Leave blank if not applicable.|
|Shipping information||Admin user can add general shipping information in this section.|
|Ship separately||Selecting this field as yes will have separate shipping for this particular product.|
Note: The detail fields you see during the product creation process directly correspond to attribute groups associated to the chosen Attribute Families.
Note: Products needs to be publsihed in order to see them on the web Stores.
- Complete the initial Product details on all the tabs and save your progress using the "Save as Draft" button. The page will reload with confirmation the Product has been saved.
- To finish Adding a new Product, use the "Publish" button. The page will reload with action confirmation.
- (Optional) After the initial Product details are saved, following tabs appears in order to manage the newly created product. Admin user can complete these details, as necessary, and save progress using the "Save as Draft" or "Publish" actions:
Note: These steps represent the minimum requirements to add a Simple Product in Znode.
For the more advanced Products Types, such as Configurable, Grouped, and Bundled Products, they just take a few more steps than a standard Simple Product--which can be found in the Product Quickstart Guide.
When to Publish a Product
Anytime an administrator makes a change to a Product in the Products section of PIM, the Product must be Published in order to make the change visible on the front-end.
There are two ways to publish the Product:-
- Product list page - Click on the publish icon on the product list page.
- Edit product page - Click on the product edit make the required changes. Click on the Publish icon on the top right corner.

In the product view screen, all the products are visible to the user. If the user wishes to edit the product details then by simply clicking on the product name or by clicking on the edit action button the following screen could be reached wherein the edits would be made possible
Admin users can add the SEO information for the products from here.
|Associated Store||Admin users can save SEO details for a product for any store they want. They can select store using this field and add the required information for the other fields against the selected stores.|
|Locale||Admin users can save SEO details for a product for any Locale they want. They can select Locale using this field and add the required information for the other fields against the selected Locale.|
|SEO Title||Admin users can enter the SEO title.|
|SEO Description||Admin users can enter the SEO description.|
|SEO Keywords||Admin users can enter the SEO keywords.|
|SEO Friendly Page Name||Admin user can enter the SEO friendly URL here.|
|Canonical URL||Admin users can enter a canonical URL here which will help webmasters to prevent duplicate content issues in search engine optimization.|
|Robot Tag|| Robot tag allows admin users to instruct web robots (typically search engine robots) what pages of the website to crawl.
There are five options available under this field :
Important: The value of Robot Tag saved at Store level will be used on the web-store if and only if the value for Robot Tag is not saved at the Page-level.
Admin user can associate/deassociate a particular category to/from the product from this section.
Admin user can add pricing (a single price or tiered-price) information for a different price list for the respective products from here.
Admin user can add/update inventory for respective product individually for every warehouse
Admin users can associate add-ons for the respective products from this section.
Associated Add-on groups
Admin user can create a new field particularly for a product from this section.

|Personalization||Used to manage text attributes assigned to your product with the configuration option "Is Personalizable" as active. Only text attributes with "Is Personalizable" will appear here.|
|Custom Fields||Only visible at the Product-level. Used to display additional information about your Product.|
|Add-Ons||Used to Associate Add-On Groups created to your product. Only unassigned Add-On Groups will appear. Only Simple Products should be displayed in "Associate Add-On Group" pop-up.|
|You Might Also Like||Used to associate related products that will be displayed on the PDP as "You May Also Like"|
|Frequently Bought||Used to associate related products that will be displayed on the PDP as "Frequently Bought"|
PIM > Products > "Delete" action
- Page will reload with confirmation Product has been deleted
Bulk Update Products
Admin users can add or update the values of attributes for desired products using the Bulk Update feature.
To update product details below steps can be followed:
- Click on Tools >> Bulk Update
- Upload a CSV file which includes the products SKU(s) and the attribute values which need to be updated
- Select Auto Publish The Updated Data
- Click on Import
Using the above steps Admin users will be able to update the product details and publish the product(s). Step 3 from the above steps is optional.
